Prof. Dr. Werner Gitt

The year 2020 will be remembered by all of us. Never before has an illness brought the whole world to its knees as it did this spring when the coronavirus brought public life to a standstill.

It was the year of cancelled celebrations, failed festivals, and postponed events, including the Tokyo Olympics. For many it became the year of sorrow and death.

So the age-old question of suffering and death, especially when God is brought into the picture, rears its head again Many ask: If there is a loving and all-powerful God, why is there all this suffering in the world?
