Jesus - was he just a religious founder among many others, a social reformer or a man ready to die for his ideas? If so, we can safely ignore him.

But if he is the Son of God, who came from heaven to give us eternal life through the cross and through his resurrection, then he is of the greatest importance for us. If we reject him, that would be the greatest disaster, and at the end of our days, the loss of eternal life.
